BB&G Car Care Center of Elizabeth City is a family-owned and operated oil change and car repair business, servicing about 50 cars each day. Their motto is quality customer service and full transparency of operations. Instead of building a solid wall between the customer waiting room and repair area, the family put a glass partition to allow the customers to see everything that goes on behind the scenes.

The Challenge

Using about 2,000 USG of automotive lubricants per month, BB&G was looking for an alternative lubricant provider – someone who can deliver a better-quality product, more competitive pricing, but even more importantly, provide the technical know-how, responsive customer support, and timely fulfillment service.

The biggest change for the business was to switch to a bulk lubricant tank instead of getting deliveries of PitPack boxes and 6-gallon containers, which made it easier to track remaining inventory levels, freed up storage space, and reduced the ecological impact of plastic containers and carboard.

With bulk storage, BB&G decreased the frequency of deliveries to only once a month, saving money on transport fees, and saving time on procurement and invoice management.

World Kinect secured the supply of high-quality Shell lubricants. The Rotella 14W-40 oil for heavy-duty diesel engines proved to be especially popular with the local trucking customers due to its triple protection against engine wear, deposits, and oil breakdown.
