The F1 2025 season is upon us, and we have you covered with information on the locations where BGA may be most affected by the race. We’ll start our series with the upcoming Australian Grand Prix, taking place in Melbourne on March 16, 2025.
Airport Info:
YMEN – Melbourne Essendon Fields Airport
- Primarily used for general aviation and cargo flights
- Closest airport to the Central Business District (CBD) and 22 km from the racetrack
- Operating hours 0600 LCL – 2300 LCL (1900Z – 1200Z)
- Four FBOs onsite
- Air Elite® by World Fuel member, Platinum Business Aviation Centre, offers:
- VIP lounge access for passengers
- Dedicated concierge assistance for catering, ground transportation, hotel accommodations, and any other special requests
- Customs and Immigration assistance to expedite the clearance process at FBO except 1430-1545 LCL daily

The necessity of crew visas is determined by the flight type:
- Charter
- Gather travel documents
- Valid passport or other travel document
- Valid Airline Identity Card or ICAO Safety Inspector Certificate
- Register for the Authority online
- Carriers can register crew members through the Carrier Portal: https://www.eta.homeaffairs.gov.au/ucp/login.form
- Carriers can also check whether crew members hold valid Crew Travel Authorities
