SENEAM No Longer Authorizing Flights with Overflight Debts
Manny Aviation Services, part of our global vendor network, has been notified through their SENEAM channels that the authorities will be enforcing aircraft operators to remain current of debts incurred while operating in Mexico airspace. The World Fuel Trip Support Team has compiled information on how to register directly with SENEAM or how to register through Manny Aviation Services. Below is the latest information.
If you have any questions, email us at [email protected].
Effective July 2023, SENEAM is no longer authorizing flights for aircraft registrations (not operators) that have outstanding overflight debts. Therefore, the current aircraft operator is responsible for any previous debt SENEAM has assigned to the aircraft registration, even if the debt had been incurred by a previous operator. Which means, aircraft with unpaid overflight debts may face temporary flight restrictions until the debts are resolved with SENEAM.
Aircraft operators will have until the 10th of each month to request their outstanding navigation fees and will have until the 5th day of the following month to settle the invoice. Delayed payments to SENEAM will result in monthly surcharges, increasing the outstanding balance. Delayed payments will also put the aircraft at risk of facing temporary flight restrictions from operating within Mexican airspace. SENEAM requires all aircraft operators to have an ID registered with SENEAM to facilitate the payment process. SENEAM requires all aircraft operators to have an ID registered with SENEAM to facilitate the payment process.
