Ground Handling

General Information to Know

Airport Considerations

Handling and Airport Information | Bulletins | Airport Information | NOTAMs

The primary airport is LFPB/LBG - Le Bourget, a 24-hour airport of entry (AOE) with full services, fixed-base operators (FBOs) and credit available.

If securing overnight parking at LFPB is not feasible or if the aircraft's wingspan exceeds 52 meters, alternative parking options will need to be explored. Two nearby airports, Pontoise (LFPT) - located 20 miles from LFPB - and Charles de Gaulle (LFPG), situated six miles away, may be considered. Both offer comprehensive general aviation support.

It is important to note that LFPT possesses a 5,541-foot runway and does not typically function as an Airport of Entry (AOE). Standard airport hours range from 0800 to 2200 local time, with overtime available upon request. Nevertheless, during the Paris Air Show, LFPT's operating hours may be extended and the airfield could be temporarily designated as an AOE.

As for LFPG, which is a commercial airport, priority is given to scheduled commercial flights. Airport slots are required for LFPG, with a deviation allowance of -5/+10 minutes, and should be requested as soon as the flight schedule is determined.

Parking Information

The expansive aircraft parking area at LFPB will be utilized for the static display, and as a result, wide-body overnight parking availability for aircraft larger than an Airbus ACJ or Boeing BBJ is not anticipated from June 14 to June 28. Please be advised that during this time frame, the maximum wingspan for parking will be limited to 52 meters.

Availability will depend on space available on FBO ramps.

Security

Security level 3: The crime rate in Paris is commensurate with other Western metropolises of similar size. The primary security consideration for travelers in Paris entails instances of petty theft. As visitors attend the Paris Air Show, they might experience a marginally increased risk of such occurrences due to the event's crowded nature. Political demonstrations have been ongoing in the Paris area since January 2023 and expect to continue through the summer.

The risk of terrorism carried out by Islamist extremists and by local attackers motivated by terrorist groups or extremist movements remains a persistent concern in France. Potential attacks could range from large-scale bombings to less elaborate but equally dangerous small-scale assaults. Furthermore, there is the possibility of "lone wolf" incidents conducted by radicalized individuals, which can be challenging to detect or prevent. There are currently no known imminent terrorist threats directed specifically at the event.
