Vaccination Status Becomes Key Requirement
Since August 30, 2021, the EU council has recommended to EU countries that the United States should be removed from the “Safe List.” It has been left to the discretion of each EU member country to adopt the recommendation. This month has seen a number of EU countries modifying their COVID-19 entry protocols around the travelers' vaccination status.
We are following countries closely and updating the regions daily. Below are highlighted countries in the EU that have updated their requirements on how to handle travelers from the United States since the EU's initial recommendation. Additionally, we are seeing many countries tighten up their entry requirements based upon the travelers' status of being vaccinated or not, particularly in Europe.
Our global trip support team is proactively working to keep the information on our Europe resource page. You can also get access to the full country report by contacting World Fuel Trip Support at [email protected] and specifying the country report (s) needed and an email address where they would be sent.
World Fuel continues to track each country through our COVID-19 resource page. Navigate to the region (Europe, Asia, etc.) that you need to view the report. Those open will be marked as such on the country line; whether the country is open or closed, use the “+” symbol to view the most recent status of that country.
