These new regulations will be effective April 1, 2019. The provincial government of Prince Edward Island will also be introducing a Carbon Levy on fuel sold in the province effective April 1, 2019.
Federal Fuel Charge
Effective April 1, 2019, the federal government of Canada will be introducing the Federal Fuel Charge applicable to sales in Manitoba, New Brunswick, Ontario, and Saskatchewan. The Federal Fuel Charge will be applicable to sales in Nunavut and Yukon effective July 1, 2019.
World Fuel Services Canada, ULC. will separately line itemize the Federal Fuel Charge on our invoice to the customer.
Rate effective April 1, 2019 - March 31, 2020:
- Aviation Gasoline, $0.0498 per liter
- Jet Fuel, $0.0516 per liter
Customers that are exempt from the Federal Fuel Charge will need to provide us with their Fuel Charge Exemption Certificate to be kept with our tax account files. Submit your registration for the Fuel Charge Exemption Certificate.
